Rocky Horror Picture Show Smashing Success For Downtown Toms River

Share

We would like to thank all who attended the two sold out shows of The Rocky Horror Picture show on February 25. It didn’t take long for the Rocky Horror phenomenon to take form in downtown Toms River. This long time favorite of cult movies was sold out for its 10:00 showing in a matter of days; with the phone still ringing for tickets a midnight showing was added and sold out as well. Participation bags were available for purchase and were used throughout the show while audience members recite lines memorized from countless other viewings of the show. Pair that with some racey outfits and you have all the makings of a great show.

It was nice to see the streets of downtown Toms River filled with cars and bustling with activity at 10:00 in the evening. Local retail shops benefitted from this as well with sales of goods to dressed up movie goers filtering out into the streets. The Cookie Cab, sister company to the Traco Theater was open prior to and after the movies for dessert featuring tempting Rocky Horror Cookies as well as a full assortment of other baked goods.

Thanks to all who attended the first showing of Rocky Horror Picture show in downtown Toms River.
